If you are visiting Korea from overseas and planning Smile surgery, we recommend having the examination and surgery first after arriving in Seoul, and then planning your travel schedule.
Smile has a relatively quick recovery, but right after surgery you may experience blurred vision, glare, or dryness. Above all, the first follow-up visit the next day to check your eye condition is important.
After the next-day checkup confirms your eye condition, you can go sightseeing or do everyday activities depending on your individual recovery. Taking a plane, wearing makeup, light running, and attending concerts are all possible, but in the early stage after surgery, you should avoid swimming and be careful not to rub your eyes.
Overseas patients usually plan their schedules in the following order.
Arrive in Seoul → examination & surgery → first checkup the next day → travel to Busan, Jeju, etc. → return to Seoul → final checkup before departure → leave Korea
If you plan your schedule this way, you can continue your trip in Korea after receiving the first necessary follow-up visit right after surgery, and check your eye condition once more before returning home.
If your stay in Korea or travel plans are already set, letting us know your schedule in advance before surgery helps us plan the examination, surgery, and appointment schedule together.
